February 29th, 2008 - The rythm of spring

Miss Doodle has been thinking a lot about "rythm" yesterday. Rythm of life, rythm of spring.
It implies repetition, regularity, harmony, energy, driving force, animated spirit and heartbeat.

Rythm is a remedy when feeling static, getting nowhere. Just swing with Miss Doodle, give yourself a rythm, turn on the radio, dance and sing, or just listen to the rain or to reggae music or whatever keeps your feet tapping and your body moving. Spring is everywhere. Even if in Australia it is still summer:)

February 27th, 2008 - School Holidays and Rain

This week the Metro is almost empty, a lot of people are on vaccation because the February school holidays have begun last week.

Yesterday afternoon the world turned grey, a lead-grey, and then it began to rain. Heavy rain all afternoon all over Paris.

Everything was wet, people and pets hurrying from one shelter to another. Copyright ©estandrea - All rights reserved

February 26th, 2008 - Miss Doodle Grande Photographe

Today Miss Doodle is doing a photo-reportage about two famous sites in Paris, the Trocadero, and the Eiffeltower. She loves the golden statues at the Trocadero and the breathtaking view of the Eiffeltower and takes many pictures.

In the afternoon she takes a stroll in the Jardin du Luxembourg. There are flowerbulbs and buds everywhere, some birds making nests, some already nursing their babybirds.

Real Life - Plug in and Plug out

Miss Doodle likes to watch people in the Metro. A lot of them wear in-ear headphones now and listen to music or speak on the phone while they seem oblivious of everything else that is going on around them.

February 24th, 2008 - Sunday, Balloon Message Day

Miss Doodle wonders: will there ever be peace on earth?

She sends a message attached to a balloon which says "Peace begins now, in your heart. Stop fighting, this is an order".

February 22nd, 2008 - Photography

Miss Doodle loves her little digital camera and she takes photos whenever she feels like it. It helps her to explore the world.

She loves close-ups of plants, animals, objects and people. At the right side you can see the pictures she took at the left. A beautiful sunflower, a little mouse, Meow her cat, a bronze statue and her secretary working at her desk.... and in the lower right corner, that is Miss Doodle waiting for your comments, picture made by...guess who?

February 21st, 2008 - Lunch with Sabrina de Bleu

Yesterday Miss Doodle met her beautiful friend Sabrina de Bleu . They had lunch in the "Bistro Parisien" not far from the Louvre, where they make nice "tarte à la tomate provençale" and all sorts of salads and the most delicious "crème caramel" you can find in Paris!

Sabrina de Bleu and Miss Doodle have a lot of things to share. Life, art, attitudes, joys and sorrows.

After lunch, a bit of window-shopping to take in the latest trends by CHANEL, and a walk to the "Pont des Arts" over the Seine river. There the two friends watched the famous "Bateaux-Mouches" and the funny little gulls before heading to the next metro station at Palais Royal where the accordeon man played beautifully Schuberts Ave Maria (the actual title is Ellens dritter Gesang) which gave them goosebumps. They agreed to meet again soon and then took off different directions.

The beautiful music accompanied them both on their way home .

February 18th, 2008 - Spring, Robin, Slug, Moochbug, Mole and Earthworm

Monday is Nature-Celebration-Day! Spring is on it's way, at some places a bit more than at others.

For Miss Doodle, the surface of the earth is like nature's penthouse appartment.

She peeps into the nests where Mr. and Mrs. Robin are already busy feeding their 4 daughters and 2 sons. Each time the parents come home with a worm, loud chirping greets them.

Meanwhile, on the 2nd floor, Monsieur Taupe is bery busy cleaning his house. He cleans his house every night, and in the morning puts the garbage out.

Ms Arionidae Slug lives also in the penthouse (please imagine her on top of the page:).
Ms Slug's garden is very big, so she employs a gardener who's name is Cris. The gardener is very friendly but he doesn't like Ms Slug to smear the patches which he prepared so nicely.

Ms Slug drools at the sight of the young fresh sprouts and bulbs which begin to grow everywhere.

On the first floor the family Earthworm is getting ready to surface because they can feel the rain coming and in the basement the Moochbug is polishing his antennaes.

February 17th, 2008 - Design and Fluffs

Usually on Sundays, Miss Doodle likes to work. So this last Sunday she experimented with some minimalistic strokes. She painted carved sticks and whirls and loops and zigzags and points and dots and circles. She put them together to form stripes.

She tested the sticks, walked with them a bit, used a whirl as rocking chair.
She built a box with the stripes and a "lintball-man" with the dots.

When all was done, she went to bed and dreamed. She dreamed about Paris, it's attractions, the underground...there was a dead-end road in the metrotunnel, no metro but an expensive persian carpet at the spot where normally the rails are. She likes the carpet!

February 16th, 2008 - Miss Doodle's Sunny Saturday

Miss Doodle loves Saturdays. Relax from the busy week, take a long shower, splashing water on the cat who loves it, offer herself a bunch of beautiful yellow and red tulips, paint a tree and listen to the birds.

February 14th, 2008 - Miss Doodle and Sylvester Stallone

Miss Doodle likes Sylvester Stallone. Rocky. Rambo. Copland.

Well, Mister Stallone is not a really a Dem, she knows that. But she likes him anyway. In another life she will be a boxer or a martial arts master and defend the poor and feeble. Yes.

February 13th, 2008 - Saturday's Dream

Last Saturday Miss Doodle had this dream:

She is walking on a country road in the middle of the night towards a tiny village when suddenly she sees a flock of people flying by in the sky, they look like a flying herd. They are using very big guitars as broomsticks!

She watches them. She owns such a guitar and she is absolutely certain that she once knew how to do this but right now she can't remember the charm.... She tries hard but her mind doesn't come up with it.

There she is, bound to the ground, but she knows that sooner or later she will remember and then she will fly with them!

February 12th, 2008 - Miss Doodle's Pets

Copyrights ©estandrea - All rights reserved Miss Doodle loves cats and dogs, but she also likes some other pets, little monsters. They have no hair but are very friendly, not creepy. There is the one called Hammerhead. The one with the bell on top of his head is Cloche-Art. Okay, I give you the name and characteristics of everyone:

1. (on top) Nick the square spider who lost a pair of legs on the battlefield,
2. Cloche Art, the buzzer - a bit unreliable though,
3. Slurpeye, he makes wonderful english breakfast!
4. Prong, loves to popp beerbottle caps for Miss Doodle,
5. Shiver Jim, is blue too and tends to overeat,
6. Baby Blue feeds on mites,
7. Hammerhead never worries,
8. Schlepp:) has ten legs and a lanky back.

Have a wonderful day, tomorrow you will hear about a dream Miss Doodle dreamed yesterday!

February 8th, 2008 - The boxing gloves and other elements

These are the elements which "made" Miss Doodle's Friday. She put her hand on a freshly painted door without noticing, thus stained her lovely old velvet shopping bag. In the overcrowded metro she dreamed of boxing gloves to box herself some space however it was fun to watch people.

When she got off the metro she bought herself a sandwich and bought another one for a homeless man who told her everything about why he didn't appreciate the president...
