February 29th, 2008 - The rythm of spring

Miss Doodle has been thinking a lot about "rythm" yesterday. Rythm of life, rythm of spring.
It implies repetition, regularity, harmony, energy, driving force, animated spirit and heartbeat.

Rythm is a remedy when feeling static, getting nowhere. Just swing with Miss Doodle, give yourself a rythm, turn on the radio, dance and sing, or just listen to the rain or to reggae music or whatever keeps your feet tapping and your body moving. Spring is everywhere. Even if in Australia it is still summer:)

Oh Miss Doodle, you are so very right! I also think as women we are very in tuned with rhythms. That is not to say men are not, but our bodies help us to understand rhythms and use them easily.

Thank you so much Miss Doodle for reminding me how important this is! By-the-way... I adore your rhythmic moves!

Oh Miss Doodle,
You're full of life... full of life's rythm. That's why when looking at you and all those lovely beings, our hearts picks up a happy beat!

"Rythm is a remedy when feeling static, getting nowhere."

This beautiful sentence you wrote, reminded me of this song:

Artist: Cash, Johnny
Song: Get Rhythm

Hey, get rhythm when you get the blues
Hey, get rhythm when you get the blues

Yes a jumpy rhythm makes you feel so fine
It'll shake all the trouble from your worried mind
Get rhythm when you get the blues

Little shoeshine boy never gets low down
But he's got the dirtiest job in town
Bendin' low at the peoples' feet
On the windy corner of the dirty street
Well, I asked him while he shined my shoes
How'd he keep from gettin' the blues
He grinned as he raised his little head
Popped a shoeshine rag and then he said

Get rhythm when you get the blues
Hey, get rhythm when you get the blues
It only costs a dime, just a nickel a shoe
Does a million dollars worth of good for you
Get rhythm when you get the blues

Well, I sat down to listen to the shoeshine boy
And I thought I was gonna jump for joy
Slapped on the shoe polish left and right
He took a shoeshine rag and he held it tight
He stopped once to wipe the sweat away
I said you're a mighty little boy to be-a workin' that way
He said I like it with a big wide grin
Kept on a poppin' and he said again

Get rhythm when you get the blues
Hey, get rhythm when you get the blues
Get a rock 'n' roll feelin' in your bones
Get taps on your toes and get gone
Get rhythm when you get the blues

It's funny Miss Doodle but I was thinking about rhythm myself just recently.

When you write, or one write's, there is a rhythm to that and it is to me the most important part, to get the rhythm right.

I love your dancers.

Human being, I have to laugh at the fact that you know all the words to the Johnny Cash song. It's a cool song I'd never heard before although maybe if I heard the tune I'd recognize it. I love Johnny Cash.

It's funny that even post-menopause I found (re: Kim's comment) that my body still had repetitive rhythms that took over that other monthly rhythm. In fact the older I get the more I ssee the repetitions and cycles that exist in all life and beings.

Oh yes.. I LOVE the rythm of SPRING, the birds chirping I the frogs croaking at night. It does get me Jivin. You do it so well Miss Doodle.
Also there is rythm & blues. You did mention blues but it sounds good together. There is a rythm in an Ocean roaring in and out.. I just Love that sound.
