Miss Doodle walking right into the clever business trap

OK, here comes Miss Doodle again, and walks right into a trap!

Poor thing.

It happened to the secretary, too.

It can happen to everyone, No?

Oh My what a shock. I heard a woman on the radio tell abt getting a man to come to her house to assess the value her antiques she wanted to sell. He spent 3 hours or more and then said several thousand dollars fee. Well I dont really remember how much the fee was but it was a lot. More than you would have in yr pocket. And this was a friend of a friend. When she said she couldnt pay that he said well okay I'll take ....an then he proceeded to box up her antiques to equal, to his mind, his fee!!! He was a perpecow (that is my secret code password today)

Miss Doodle, I am so sorry this happened to you and to your secretary. How awful an experience for you. Sometimes I think it is just ME they go for with things like this. Although it is easier for me here in this area, in some places I have lived just being a woman makes it difficult to get around this kind of discrimination.

I am with Suki, this guy was also a socheons - which is my password for this comment :)

Miss Doodle, I am just glad you are okay.

Oh it has been much too long since I've visited Ms. Doodle. My how busy she's been - and the adventures she has had (the Blue Toothed Dog - one of my favorites!!)

Suki, what a jerk, oh they are very talented in conning people, and you know, in this case nothing could be done cause Miss Doodle signed a paper just before the guy finished the work, so she cannot sue them (and anyway, she's not the kind of girl who "sues", to much of a hustle, and anger and time:)
Perpecow:) LOL

Kim, so this guy is a Socheons:):)
Thanks so much for telling me that this could happen not only to Miss Doodle:):)

Babs, wonder what your code-word is, lol

Cris, thanks so much for your words and sympathy for poor Miss Doodle, and no, there is no way of reporting them as they make you sign a sort of pre-invoice, Miss Doodle signed cause the guy already had been tearing the lamp out and was very speed and she had no time to really consider the amount of the invoice...
