Note from the secretary: this post speaks of what has become of some of the ideas we had during the 70ies. The french context: you are supposed to buy expensive clothes and highheeled shoes, you have to like to work like a dog and care for the entire family lovingly, you must buy magazins showing you what the ideal women and her outfit should be, while those who are the LAW are gathering in their soupkitchens, brewing court-decisions against a girl who assured her future husband that she was a virgin although she wasn't, and now the marriage has been cancelled by a judge, so to speak.

I so agree with you Miss Doodle! I often wonder myself what has become of everything that women have fought for. Looking at young girls today and especially the music/video clips in which women are treated like merchandise. Very worrying indeed!
