Miss Doodle has spent some time at a lovely place. Do you know the Grimm brothers' fairytale "Rapunzel"?
If you don't, you can read it here
This is the "tower" Otto Ubbelohde, the painter who illustrated the Grimm's fairy tales, used for his illustration of the Rapunzel tale. It is located in the "Marburger Land" in Hessen, Germany.

Wow, lucky Miss Doodle. Does this mean she will soon meet her prince?
Lucky you, Miss Doodle! It sounds like you had a beautiful vacation. I am sure you kept your camera busy, too.
I absolutely adore this painting and did not know about the actual location of the story inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing this special story. Miss Doodle, you are always full of information and inspiration, yourself.
Peace
wow Miss Doodle, you are so fortunate to be in such a beautiful place... you should be thankful to Andrea taking you to different locations... even in fairy tales...
(and we are fortunate, too... accompanying you wherever you go!)
sure we know Rapuzel and her insightful story...
as a kid, i was really concerned about the pain she had to endure when her lover was climbing up!
:D
think Hopper will like it so much since he also wrote about her and her cascade of hair...
figuratively, though...
I grew up having fairy tales read to me and I always loved the pictures in those books.
Miss Doodle, I think you've found your niche.
I could just see her hair golden in the sun trailing down. My two grand dughters love this story.
This is wonderful! You're very talented!
Lovely castle. Looking for the princess.
