"It was never easy for us Neanderthals to make our clothes. Our great-grandfathers and mothers lived naked, hunted naked. But then, the big cold came, and now we need to protect outselves. We use animal hides, reindeer, wolf, bear and mammoth hides. We have learned that we must tan those hides, so that they become soft. Sometimes we chew them, that's one method among several.

Then we make holes with awls and tools from flint, and we use animal sinews to bring pieces of hides together!"

Movin' movin' movin"

Cartons everywhere. Miss Doodle has moved. For the 16th time or so. Which is not so much compared to other people, but enough for Miss Doodle. She likes to settle into a new place, looking for new solutions, improvising with space and shape. But it's not easy, all those cartons and the apartment doesn't have much storage place yet. But it is charming. The cats are happy too. There's a round staircase and they love sitting high above looking down. Like lions.

Last time we spoke...

it was SUMMER! Now it's WINTER and it snows in Paris.... So what is better than a nice warm winter coat?

Miss Doodle's Summer

Miss Doodle s'invente des paysages, des endroits enchantés où il fait bon "être". C'est l'été, il fait beau, l'air est frais, les champs sont dorés, les arbres verts, les pierres sont chaudes et pleines de lumière. Les oiseaux chantent.Le bonheur, si simple, depuis toujours.

Miss Doodle imagines landscapes, enchanted scenes where it's good to "be".It is summer, the weather is nice, the air is fresh, fields are golden and the trees green, the stones are hot and full of light. The birds sing. Happyness has always been simple.

Miss Doodle's Morning Rituals

This is part of Miss Doodle's morning rituals. It helps her to not cogitate. In fact, if you think of it, how many times a day do you really NEED to cogitate in order to do something ?

As we know the routine, we don't need to cogitate in order to get out of bed, brush our teeth or make coffee, we just do it. Then our mind thinks: oh cool, she/he doesn't need me here so I'll take the opportunity and fly off to cogitate about serious and important things like unsolved solutions (problems:).

That's when we start to get tense, isn't it. Cause we split in two and then it happens that we make very bad coffee or drop the pot, and at the end the solution remains unsolved.

So we have to shut up our brains in order to do those things, which do not need thinking but which need our entire focus anyway....Yoga, Tai Chi, Gym are nice tools to shut up the brain.

Oh well, just Friday thoughts, Miss Doodle loves you all.
