Wet, Sunday was very wet. Please disregard the notation on the top of the page, Miss Doodle's
secretary omitted to erase her "to do" list from the painting...

Ein sonnenschöner Samstag und dann ein supernasser Sonntag. Hier seht Ihr Miss Doodle beim Wassersammeln für den Sommer. Bitte nicht lesen, was oben links steht, das hat die Sekretärin vergessen zu löschen...

Miss Doodle's Friday Fashion Page

For you, Miss Doodle will present a special fashion page each Friday, beginning today.

Here we go, these garments in red, orange, brick, ocre tones are all Miss Doodle Creations, proudly presented by the designer herself. Inspiration was a flashback into a former life as the mistress of Charles de Batz-Castelmore, Comte d'Artagnan:)

Still taking time...

......to dream!

(note from the secretary: this image was drawn in the Parisian metro line n° 6, which is partly running not in a tunnel but on the surface, high above the river Seine and the roads nearby. It is a wonderful ride but a very bumpy one, don't know why, much bumpier than the line n° 9 which we take every day...)

Time for recreation - Zeit für eine schöpferische Pause

Note from the secretary:

Miss Doodle needs a recreation, she has settled in her favourite chair with a new mystery novel "The dead bodies in my closet" (on the right side of the chair which is a leather fauteuil, you can see the Cat Meow's artistic scratchwork )
Have a nice day

Miss Doodle saw this young men in the metro last Friday, he definitely looked bored and his Rucksack's brandname was: "Children of Bodom". Of course, Miss Doodle at first read "Children of Bordom"...Do you think the Rucksack company chose the brandname on purpose?

There are days like this...

You'd like to know what Miss Doodle was up to yesterday?

Well, in the morning her computer and printer experienced a real crises, of course Miss Doodle was working on something urgent (printing business cards and portfolios) and got stuck in the middle of it.
Next thing, the metro was jammed, packed with angry people who all happened to have had garlic the evening before.
Then, at the bio-shop, the cash-register broke down just when it was Miss Doodle's turn, you know...

In the end, the evening brought quietude. Miss Doodle cooked Bratwurst for her secretary, who was very impressed by Miss Doodle's cuisine:)

March 7th, 2008 - A big stickpeople model ?

Miss Doodle and her secretary were in a tight spot this week.

On Wednesday Miss Doodle told her secretary that she wanted to organize a fashion show with big models because she has had enough of thin models and now wanted to honour big people.

The secretary buckled to work immediately. She looked into her casting files and saw that there were only very thin stickpeople models. She isn't afraid of anything when it comes to drawing, so she sat down in her studio and worked on her idea, "a big stickpeople model". Easy, she thought. I just have to draw it, work on the details and then present the finished drawing to Miss Doodle.

Here are some of the sheets:

On the left you can see Miss Doodle in front of pictures taken on a show a day before. On the right side in the background you can see the secretary's first draft of big model. But, said Miss Doodle, this isn't a stickpeople model. Ok, thought the secretary, so, let's do better. What if I draw a big model and give it stick-arms and stick-legs? Then it should belong to the stickpeople.

Said and done, this is what it looks like. Far too childish, said Miss Doodle, I want a woman and not a child.

Ok, ok.... Well, this one is better. Hmmm......thought the secretary, I will name her Poppy. She looks nice, big and nice. But the sticklegs and stickarms do not fit with the rest, do they, said Miss Doodle. Look at her!

Miss Doodle was right. As always. The secretary finally had to admit that this was a dead-end. Well, when caught in a creative process, you say, this happens...
You cannot draw big people with nothing on their arm- and legbones.
So Miss Doodle and the secretary decided to keep the idea of a fashion show for big models in mind, but to organize things in a different way! And they already have a idea:)

March 4th, 2008 - Paris Fashion Weeks part II.

Miss Doodle loved this show, the models in those romantic clothes looked as if they had jumped right out of a fairytale! They all had flowers in their hands, on their hats and heads...

The gowns also looked a bit like hippie-revival:)

March 3rd, 2008 - Miss Doodle and the Mars Models

This is Miss Doodle at the back of the stage during a fashion-show where she operated as a photographer. The models encouraged her to try on a couple of dresses which were too little for them... Miss Doodle complied and all the models gathered around her to have a look because they love tiny people.

You can hardly detect Miss Doodle, amid all these alien-looking girls...

March 2nd, 2008 - Paris Fashion Weeks - Part I.

Last week Miss Doodle has been hurrying from one fashion show to another. This week and the next all the famous fashion designers present their fall/winter 2008/2009 collections to a selected public.

These shows are often magical, whimsical, funny and amazing.

As a professional photographer Miss Doodle takes pictures of the catwalk and the graceful models at close range. Here are her first pictures:
